Waitpinga New Modern Kitchen

With these clients, we had the opportunity to create a truly stand out space in Waitpinga. Using a monochromatic pallet with timber accents, the end result is a kitchen that isn’t just a joy to observe but also a joy to use.

The client brief was specific yet flexible, requesting a feature island, breakfast bench to the side and lift-up cabinets overhead. This gave us a clear idea of where we were heading and we were able to suggest details and features.

Some challenges with the design included the use of black matt panels which are prone to show up fingerprints frequently, we suggested and implemented the use of anti-fingerprint technology from Fenix to overcome this hurdle.

The overhead above the fridge was another point of uncertainty until we suggested a bifold lift-up door which operates smoothly and allows the adjacent stepped depth overheads to be the prominent feature.

We also discussed with the client the advantage of painting the remainder of the wall and door to the butler’s pantry black to keep the focus on the timber overheads. The result looks fantastic.

The whole home is a labor of love for our clients in Waitpinga, and their personal style is clearly reflected in the kitchen as well as the rest of the home.
